We invite nominations from veterans, family members, friends, veteran service organizations, County and Tribal Veteran Service Officers, other veteran groups, and members of the community for consideration in this year’s selection process for the Woman Veteran of the Year award. 

A panel will evaluate candidates based on their professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, leadership abilities, recognitions received, and their enduring impact.

**Narrative Summary**

In 2000 words or fewer, please articulate the reasons why the nominee merits consideration as the Woman Veteran of the Year. Nominations will be evaluated on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 representing the highest score, according to the following criteria for a total potential score of 50 points:

  1. The nominee’s professional and/or volunteer achievements and contributions to the support of veterans and/or military communities.
  2. The nominee's involvement and accomplishments in community organizations, including those not specifically focused on veteran services.
  3. The personal skills and attributes that have distinguished the nominee as a leader and facilitated a positive impact within the state of Wisconsin since her transition to civilian life. 
  4. Recognition, awards, leadership roles, committee appointments, and other noteworthy accomplishments of the nominee.
  5. The impact or lasting influence of the nominee’s efforts within a particular area of service, such as advocacy or innovation.
