Outreach and Recovery

The Wisconsin Veterans Outreach and Recovery Program (VORP) connects Wisconsin Veterans to community services and provides case management and support with a special focus on treatment and recovery.

Wisconsin Veterans Homes

​​One of our major responsibilities at the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs is providing 24-hour skilled nursing care to our nation's heroes. The WDVA is proud of the three veterans homes we operate – Chippewa Falls, King and Union Grove - serving nearly 1,000 veterans and their spouses.

Veteran Cemetery Registration

Pre-registration allows a veteran, spouse, and/or dependent child to establish eligibility for interment at one of the three state veteran’s cemeteries. There is no cost for pre-registration and it does not obligate the veteran to be interred at the cemetery selected.

Health Care and Subsistence Aid

Health Care Aid and Subsistence Aid Grants provide limited financial assistance to those in need and who have exhausted all other sources of aid. The grants may be used for specified health care and subsistence needs up to maximum grant limits.
